Schedule / Shift

Day shift, 2x4.0 schedule. Call from Wednesday 1630 to Thursday 0730, Thursday 1630 to Friday 0730, and on Friday from 1300 to 1700. Call from Friday 1700 to Monday 0730. Guaranteed 2 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients in the department and with portable equipment. This role requires the ability to inject IV contrast media as needed and to complete necessary requisitions for ordered exams timely. The CT Technologist is expected to explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and properly move and transport patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Schedule all exams in a timely manner.
• Perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and various printing protocols by the Radiologist.
• Identify mechanical and electronic equipment failures to diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors.
• Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
• Treat all patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians with courtesy and friendliness.
• Attend required in-services and orientations.
• Build positive relationships with floor staff to facilitate excellent patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• 3 years of experience in the Medical Imaging field (not including school).
• Experience operating facility-specific equipment (Philips) is highly desired.

Certifications / Licensure

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• CT Certification is highly desired.
• BLS certification is required.
