07:00 - 19:00, 3 shifts per week, 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge and experience in labor and delivery, as well as a strong ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates throughout labor.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Interpret fetal heart tracings and recognize potential complications.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including common OB medications.
• Assist in placing epidurals and support pain management protocols.
• Participate in patient huddles and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• Experience in labor and delivery, including strip interpretation and circulator experience in C/S.
• Knowledge of common OB medications and treatments for obstetrical complaints.
• Ability to assist with vacuum and forceps deliveries as needed.
• Experience in PACU recovery for spinal anesthesia and antepartum triage.
