Job Description

The Registered Nurse specializing in Antepartum and Labor & Delivery will provide care for high-risk obstetrical patients in an Antepartum unit. This role requires a strong background in high acuity obstetrical care, with a focus on patient management and support throughout their hospital stay.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for high-risk obstetrical patients in the Antepartum unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage preterm labor conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in High Risk Labor and Delivery or Antepartum nursing.
• Current Texas RN License (temp license not accepted).
• Must possess BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications.
• Experience with magnesium sulfate management and preterm labor management preferred.
