Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgeries. The nurse will be involved in managing patients post-surgery and those with various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-operative care for patients undergoing various cardiovascular surgeries.
• Monitor patient vitals and implement care plans based on assessments.
• Assist with the management of medications, including cardiac medications.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery and care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Preferred experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery patients.
• Experience in CVICU is a plus.
