Registered Nurse - Women's Services (Labor & Delivery)

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Women's Services unit, providing high-quality care to laboring patients. Our department prides itself on supporting patient choice and promoting vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient preference. You will be part of a laborist team model with 24/7 midwives, a dedicated CRNA, and OB on call.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery setting.
• Perform procedures such as circulating in the OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, and address postpartum hemorrhage using the JADA system.
• Use nitrous oxide for pain management as needed.
• Engage in couplet care to ensure the newborn remains with the mother to promote breastfeeding.
• Utilize advanced skills, including spinning babies and STABLE when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Fetal monitoring experience required.
