Job Description

The Float Critical Care RN will provide high-quality patient care in various critical care settings. This role requires expertise in managing critically ill patients and the ability to float between Intensive Care Units (ICU), Cardiac Care Units (CCU), and Step Down units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Administer IV therapy, manage arterial lines, and perform phlebotomy.
• Care for ventilated patients and interpret ABGs.
• Monitor patient conditions post-cardiac surgery and manage dysrhythmias.
• Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NJ or Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of critical care experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience in managing care for post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Familiarity with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, and VAD is highly preferred.
