Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - 13 Week Contract Position

Schedule

This position offers 3x12 hour shifts, with day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00 and night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend shifts are required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our medical team. In this role, you will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process.
• Administer medications and provide interventions as necessary during labor.
• Assist with the delivery of newborns and provide immediate postnatal care.
• Educate patients and families about labor and delivery procedures.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current, valid RN license (Compact license preferred).
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN.
