Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse to oversee the high-risk Labor and Delivery unit. The Charge Nurse will manage patient care, coordinate nursing staff assignments, and ensure the delivery of exceptional care in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentoring to nursing staff within the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Manage patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure best outcomes for patients.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and triage obstetrical patients.
• Utilize Epic for charting and patient documentation.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Alaska RN license in hand.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred or willingness to receive training.
• 1+ year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP certifications required.
