Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - OR Specialty

Job Description

Join a leading Level I trauma center as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) specializing in the Operating Room (OR). The position entails working within a busy and dynamic nurse-driven environment, providing essential support across various surgical specialties including Neuro, ENT, Robotics, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgeries by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available.
• Scrub for various surgical procedures, including but not limited to total joints, spine, trauma, and robotics.
• Support surgeons and other medical staff to ensure a safe and orderly surgical environment.
• Participate in holiday rotation and on-call shifts as required.
• Be flexible to float between different surgical units to meet facility needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with preference for experience in Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Davinci Xi).
• Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency.

Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hour work schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a weekend rotation of 1 shift every 4 weeks.
• On-call responsibilities may include up to 4 call shifts per 4-week schedule period.
