Med Surg RN - Night Shift

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in medical-surgical care. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 hours, Nights (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a caseload of 6 patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize IV start skills and manage cardiac drip therapies.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expectations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
• SC nursing license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience in telemetry and management of cardiac medications preferred.
• Skills in IV starting and management of various medical devices required.
