Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a. Availability for every other weekend and flexible holiday requirements is necessary.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively with a team of RNs and support staff in a 10-14 bed Emergency Department. You will engage in patient triage, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and participate in urgent care processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform ESI triage and maintain patient flow.
• Administer IV medications and perform infusions as necessary.
• Conduct assessments, document findings, and perform EKGs.
• Participate in procedural sedation and apply restraints as required.
• Assist in ambulance transport of patients requiring transfer to higher care facilities.
• Collaborate in multilevel emergency care, including telemedicine consultations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• At least 1 completed travel contract.
• Required certifications include AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS or ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• EPIC documentation experience within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Charge nurse experience is highly preferred.
