Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Unit

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a 12-hour Day Shift. The typical schedule consists of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next, plus potential on-call shifts as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU) specializing in adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. You will work in a setting with excellent staffing ratios, providing care for a mix of medical-surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to both adult and pediatric patients.
• Adhere to staffing ratios: typically 4:1 for non-COVID patients, 2:1 for COVID patients.
• May be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed.
• Attend staff meetings regularly.
• Occasionally float to other departments based on competencies.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Three (3) years of med-surg nursing experience.
• One (1) year of pediatric nursing experience.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• MUST be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients.
