Psychiatric Nurse - Inpatient Setting

DAYS - 12HR shift with weekends and holidays as assigned.

Job Description

The role requires a skilled psychiatric nurse with over 2 years of experience in an inpatient setting. The candidate will work with a blend of patients, including adolescents, seniors, and adults of varying acuity levels, and is also expected to engage with patients as young as 8 years old. Additional responsibilities may include working in adult IDD units and physical rehabilitation units.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients across various units as needed.
• Assist in the management and treatment of patients with high and low acuity needs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and care standards.
• Participate in the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient setting.
• BLS certification is required.
• Handle with Care training is preferred.
