Labor and Delivery Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 7pm - 7am, weekdays; every other weekend and holidays.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Nurse will work in a Level 2 Labor and Delivery unit, delivering patients who are 32 weeks and above. The nurse must be proficient in triaging patients, circulating cesarean sections, managing labor and delivery in collaboration with physicians and midwives, as well as completing patient recovery following vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients effectively and efficiently.
• Circulate cesarean sections as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and midwives in managing labor and delivery.
• Oversee patient recovery post-delivery, both vaginal and cesarean.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 5+ years of experience in labor and delivery.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Must have EPIC experience.
• Current RN license.
• NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
