Job Description

The Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge, consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities include providing support to individuals of all ages and their families in accordance with physician's orders and established nursing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor patient progress and perform necessary adjustments to the care plan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license from any state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within one year of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale completion within six months of hire.
• Emergency Severity Index Level 5 training within three months of hire.
