Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who provides direct and indirect care for a group of patients for a designated time frame covering various age populations. The nursing process, including assessment of biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors, is the basis for care. Responsibilities include planning, prescribing, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating care rendered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients considering age and status.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions based on unit and hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
• Provide education and discharge planning for patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Operating Room experience - Required
• BLS (AHA) - Required
• ACLS - Required
• Michigan RN license verification - Required
