Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pathology Lab Technician with experience in a pathology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expert consult send outs to other institutions and managing the pathology processes involved in sending out materials for molecular testing. A strong understanding of pathology operations is essential for success in this role. Certification in medical transcription or prior pathology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage expert consult send outs to other institutions.
• Oversee the pathology process for sending out materials for molecular testing.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pathology setting.
• Must possess a valid Florida or Compact license.
• Certification as a Medical Transcriptionist is a plus.
• Experience with Cerner or Epic charting systems is required.
