Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7PM - 7:30AM. Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts per the 6-week schedule.

Job Description

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include directing co-workers and delegating role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care, as well as performing all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established care pathways.
• Educate patients and families from admission through the discharge process.
• Document nursing processes thoroughly and accurately.
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as written and assure the availability of equipment and supplies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid RN license to practice in the State of Ohio; CPR certification required.
• Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
