This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift schedule with 4x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekends are required, with a patient ratio of 1:6.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The unit accepts first-time travelers and requires floating to units of equal or lesser acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient condition and implement appropriate interventions.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Recent experience with the Epic charting system (within the last 6 months).
• Current Registered Nurse license (State or Compact) required at time of submittal.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
