ER Registered Nurse (Night Shift)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced Level II trauma center. You will work in a comprehensive stroke center, accredited in STEMI care, equipped with 26 beds. The unit manages a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department setting.
• Initial assessment and triage of patients presenting with emergent conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care effectively.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, EKG readings, and laboratory results.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid RN license in the state or compact state.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department or similar setting.
• Experience with trauma care preferred.
• Knowledge of Epic charting system required.
