Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Nurse to join our progressive care unit (PCU) team. This fast-paced cardiac unit provides high acuity care to patients post-cardiac procedures and surgeries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and be committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in a PCU setting.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications via IV pumps, drips, and other modalities.
• Perform standard procedures including post-cath care and chest tube management.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH/Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• Skills in chest tube management and cardiac drips are preferred.
