Surgical Technologist - Travel Position

Schedule

This position requires 4 × 10 hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours. All shifts will be rotating and will include days, evenings, and nights. Call and weekends are required, with the potential for up to 3 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will play a critical role in the surgical team by preparing the operating room and assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. This role requires a strong background in both general surgery and specialized areas such as orthopedic, neuro, vascular, trauma, robotics, and transplant surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures across various specialties, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Respond to calls within a 30-minute timeframe.
• Utilize in-house call rooms as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room, ideally 3 years.
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience within the last 3 years.
• Minimum of 1 year of travel experience within the last 3 years.
• Proficient in general surgery, orthopedic (total joints), neuro (crani & spine), vascular, trauma, robotic (DaVinci), and transplant procedures.
• Must meet all certification and licensure requirements specific to the position.
