Registered Nurse - Trauma / Surgical Unit

This is a night shift position with a 4x10-hour schedule (19:00 - 05:00).

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our trauma and surgical unit. This role requires strong clinical skills to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Level I Trauma and surgical procedures, particularly in liver and kidney cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the trauma/surgical unit.
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.
• Float to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as required.
• Respond to emergencies and provide trauma care.
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level I Trauma setting.
• BSN degree is required.
• Current PA or compact nursing license.
• Trauma certification and TNCC certification.
• Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, orthopedic surgeries, and total joint replacements is preferred.
• Charting experience using Cerner is required.
