Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse communicates effectively with physicians about changes in patient clinical conditions and is accountable for the care given to assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patient conditions, cardiac monitoring, and diagnostic study results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment.
• Direct and supervise activities of other nursing personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• COVID vaccination and boosters preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
