Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) during night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care and support to individuals in the CVICU.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and ECG readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in the charting system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 12 months of permanent RN experience in a CVICU or equivalent specialty.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Must successfully complete the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
• One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the last 12 months.
• Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen and nicotine test if applicable.
