Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This position requires a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate should possess multi-skill capacity to perform triage, provide couplet care postpartum, circulate OR cases, and manage baby admits, including catching babies. This role may require floating to different locations and adherence to weekend and holiday schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct triage and assessment of laboring mothers.
• Provide direct care to postpartum mothers and their newborns.
• Circulate in the operating room during deliveries and related surgical procedures.
• Perform baby admits and assist in deliveries.
• Adhere to departmental guidelines regarding weekend, holiday, float, and call requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 24 months of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Current and active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/AFM certifications from recognized vendors.
• No hits on state license to practice.
• Driver's license to verify residency required.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
