Schedule

Shifts are 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends. A full 30-minute lunch is required, and punctuality is emphasized.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our CVICU team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, including the use of Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines.
• Manage ventilators and provide respiratory support as necessary.
• Display strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in a high-stress environment.
• Provide care for post-operative CABG, VAD, and other cardiac procedures.
• Document patient care using Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Current active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is required.
