Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various age groups and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and care in emergency situations.
• Effectively manage and administer emergency medications and treatments.
• Perform critical procedures such as chest tube insertion and continuous IV sedation.
• Utilize appropriate charting systems, specifically Cerner, for accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE usage.
• Handle emergency situations with composure and efficiency.

Schedule

This position requires a flexible schedule including night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) and day shifts (07:00 - 19:00).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of previous charge experience in an emergency or critical care setting.
• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required at submission.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS must be current.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
