RN Supervisor - Part Time Evenings

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated RN Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis, primarily during evening shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will hold a current New York State RN license and possess a minimum of one year of nursing experience in long-term care, along with supervisory or clinical lead experience across multiple units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of nursing units under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC.
• Provide clinical supervision to nursing staff assigned to various units, ensuring quality resident care through effective teaching and supervision.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers to address identified and potential issues, collaborating to resolve them effectively.
• Make sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the LTC Administrator during off-shift or weekend hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or RQI, obtained during clinical orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.

Schedule

This position requires part-time evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
