Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will hold shift accountability for providing comprehensive obstetrical care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases to Labor and Delivery patients. This role involves utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

All candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in nursing with prior travel experience. Local candidates will not be accepted.
