Job Description

The CVICU unit provides advanced cardiovascular care, including ECMO services and care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries. The RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in a fast-paced critical care environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage ventilators, ECMO, and other advanced life support systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with various procedures, including chest tube and central line placement.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• Critical care competencies with experience in vasoactive infusions, arterial and central lines, and ventilator management.
• Preferred experience in cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology.
