Job Description

The Clinical Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing respiratory therapy procedures as per protocol and physician orders to enhance the cardiopulmonary conditions of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric ages. This position primarily serves patients in critical care, adult general care, and pediatric general care units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments for effective implementation of respiratory therapy protocols.
• Initiate or modify plans of care based on predetermined protocols as dictated by patient conditions.
• Perform documentation of patient records and department logs accurately.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and their clinical applications in respiratory care.
• Ensure a positive patient experience through effective communication and service recovery strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of acute care experience with recent critical care experience.
• Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment is required.
• Active RRT and Nevada State License required.
• Must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care before starting.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start.
