Job Description

The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures including invasive procedures. The technologist will operate a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner, positioning and instructing the patient, as well as determining technical factors for exposure. It is essential to ensure correct marking and labeling of all films while consistently providing safe and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging and related procedures as directed.
• Position and instruct patients for procedures.
• Operate specialized equipment and ensure accurate exposure settings.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Take call as required by the facility.
• Provide quality customer service and patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
• Registered ARRT certification required.
• Knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy is essential.
• Two years of diagnostic experience is desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move patients safely.
• Stamina, flexibility, and good manual dexterity required to operate delicate equipment.
• Computer skills necessary.
• Demonstrated accurate judgment and decision-making consistent with radiology knowledge and skills.
