Job Description

The Travel Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery will provide high-risk obstetrical care in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This role is crucial for supporting mothers and newborns in a dedicated unit. The nurse will be involved in essential procedures and will collaborate with a skilled team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high-risk obstetric patients.
• Administer medications including magnesium and insulin drips.
• Monitor fetal health through intermediate fetal monitoring.
• Assist in labor delivery, including circulating and scrubbing during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications in NRP, ACLS, and BLS are required.
• Experience in OBED, high risk, and high volume environments is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
