Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a Level III high-risk facility. Responsibilities include caring for antepartum patients, conducting early inductions, and monitoring patients on continuous observation. The RN will float to the High Risk OB unit as needed and may be assigned to two nearby lower-volume hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the labor and delivery unit.
• Monitor and assess high-risk obstetric patients.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care.
• Prepare patients and families for procedures and discharge.
• Float to the High Risk OB unit as necessary and ensure compliance with state regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2.5-3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Must pass the Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract.
