Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Tele/PCU Cardiac Unit. Our unit is known for its excellent patient care and teamwork. This position involves providing care to patients with cardiac conditions in a telemetry/PCU environment. RNs will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients using telemetry equipment and continuous pulse oximetry.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures such as IV starts and blood transfusions.
• Conduct detailed respiratory and cardiac assessments.
• Collaborate with team members, including case managers and rehabilitation staff, to optimize patient care.
• Manage care of high fall risk patient populations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Texas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Prior telemetry experience is essential.
• Preferred: NIH Stroke Certification, PALS, ICU, Tele, or PCU experience.
