7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (some procedures may run until 4:30 PM EST)

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies with precision and clinical expertise while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This role includes the acquisition and processing of diagnostic images, quality control, and management of patient data, all in accordance with the regulatory and safety standards. The technologist will work closely with the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and colleagues to enhance lab protocols and implement new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear cardiology studies (SPECT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT).
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, explaining procedures as needed.
• Acquire, process diagnostic images, and conduct daily quality control.
• Maintain radio pharmacy operations adhering to NYSDOH guidelines.
• Document patient data accurately in the eRecord CUPID system.
• Collaborate with the Nuclear Cardiology team to enhance lab processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
• 6 months of Cardiac Imaging experience.
• NYS Rad Tech License and NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
• CT certification to perform CT scans.
• BLS Certification.
