Schedule

Shifts include 7A-7:30P and 7P-7:30A, with weekend coverage every other week.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a commitment to floating as needed per the unit's policy and participation in various procedures and patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the emergency department
• Participate in intubations, behavioral health assessments, and sepsis management
• Administer treatments for chest pain and stroke patients
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for patient assessments and care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Current certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred: CEN certification and Meditech experience
