NICU Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position requires a NOC shift from 19:00 to 07:30, with 3 shifts per week totaling 36 hours.

Job Description

The NICU Registered Nurse will work in a level 3 NICU unit and provide care for sick neonates. The unit is equipped with various types of ventilation support, including conventional ventilators, high frequency jet ventilators, high frequency oscillators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide. The nurse may be floated to the Well Baby Nursery as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to neonates in a level 3 NICU setting.
• Utilize medical equipment effectively for respiratory support and other treatments.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and health status closely.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting.
• NRP and BLS certifications are required.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
