Schedule

Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15, working 3 12-hour shifts per week. Must commit to working every other weekend and a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Job Description

Join a fast-paced and high-acuity Obstetric Unit requiring RNs with significant experience in Labor & Delivery. The unit performs over 300 births per month, with challenging double labor assignments being a regular occurrence. RN must be comfortable with high-risk cases and adept in all aspects of intrapartum and postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to obstetrical patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum care.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and immediate newborn care.
• Manage double labor assignments efficiently and apply critical thinking in high-pressure situations.
• Participate in scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage procedures.
• Utilize Pyxis and EPIC systems for documentation and medication management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery; 3 years preferred.
• Experience with >300 births per month is mandatory.
• Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP; C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN.
• Must be open to floating within the women's unit as needed.
