Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday. The shifts are as follows:

• 7 AM to 4 PM with a 1-hour lunch
• 10 AM to 7 PM (Tuesday to Thursday) with a 1-hour lunch

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant role focuses on delivering superior quality care to patients while promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and supports a collaborative approach to patient therapy interventions. Responsibilities include assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and managing patient care effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions, including strength training, posture training, and functional skills training.
• Demonstrate and instruct patients in the use of assistive devices.
• Monitor patient responses and document their progress.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment by adhering to safety policies and infection control measures.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in team conferences and share knowledge for ongoing improvement of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 2+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
