Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend and holiday required. Flexible to consider 4x12s.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias, and managing cardiac care alongside other essential nursing duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmias and related interventions.
• Management of patients with cardiac conditions, collaborating with Rapid Response teams as needed.
• Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airway devices.
• Provide care for patients requiring isolation precautions.
• Document patient care accurately and utilize appropriate charting systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg/Tele nursing experience within the past year.
• Must possess a valid NY State nursing license.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Allscripts.
