Respiratory Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Weekend requirement of every other weekend.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care to adult patients in critical care settings, delivering advanced respiratory therapy interventions and managing complex ventilatory needs. The therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal respiratory outcomes for each patient.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosolized medications and manage nebulizer treatments.
• Perform intubations, extubations, and airway management.
• Conduct pulmonary hygiene and sputum collection.
• Manage tracheostomy care and oxygen therapy, including BiPAP and CPAP setups.
• Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult critical care settings.
• Active RRT license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Experience with Trauma Level 1 environments.
• 1 year of EPIC charting system experience required.
