Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Short Description: D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule on call/callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs.

Job Description

The Operating Room (OR) cares for a diverse patient population with specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center). The facility is equipped with 2 Davinci robots utilized across various services. The transplant program encompasses livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in the OR.
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York state license ONLY).
• Two (2) years of operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center required.
• Ability to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.
• Telemetry experience is highly desired.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
