Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides high-quality care to patients presenting with various medical conditions. The role demands expert clinical assessment, prioritization, and a compassionate approach to care. The RN will be responsible for coordinating treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient acuity and assign appropriate triage levels.
• Identify and prioritize patient needs efficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop patient care plans.
• Demonstrate high-level customer service skills while anticipating patient needs.
• Maintain quality and compassion in patient care delivery.
• Actively participate in problem-solving to improve patient flow and processes.
• Oversee all aspects of patient care and coordinate necessary diagnostic tests and treatments.
• Ensure maximum patient safety at all times.
• Adapt to changes in patient volume with flexibility.
• Foster positive, professional relationships across nursing units and departments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required.
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room experience.
