Cardiac Sonographer - Pediatric Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

10-hour shifts, Days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with coverage every 3rd Saturday and call every 3rd day.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric experience to perform echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs). You will work in a department equipped with two scanning rooms and one holding area.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized echocardiograms and TEEs.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients.
• Ensure accurate recording and documentation of imaging studies in the EMR system.
• Coordinate with RNs for stress echocardiograms when needed.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification (AHA).
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with a focus on Adult Echocardiography (AE) and Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) preferred.
• Experience performing standard and transesophageal echocardiograms.
