Registered Nurse - Observation Unit

Schedule

This position requires straight night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays, with on-call duties as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Observation Unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and hold a current Ohio nursing license. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will monitor patients, provide basic care, and assist in the early detection of potential health issues, ensuring effective patient management.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor vital signs and document any significant changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosages.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and provide comfort measures.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, providing initial care and stabilization as needed.
• Adhere to infection control policies, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Ohio nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a general medical-surgical or observation unit.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
