Job Description

The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures, including invasive procedures. The technologist will operate a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner, position and instruct patients, operate specialized equipment, and determine technical factors for exposure, ensuring correct marking and labeling of all films. Consistent provision of safe, quality patient care is paramount, along with taking call as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized Tomography procedures with precision and care.
• Position and instruct patients for CT exams.
• Operate specialized CT scanning equipment and determine correct exposure parameters.
• Provide quality customer service and patient care in accordance with established hospital policies.
• Ensure accurate marking and labeling of imaging films.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy is essential.
• Two years of diagnostic experience is desirable.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely.
