Travel Med Surg/Tele RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. Schedule may vary based on unit needs.

Job Description

As a Travel Med Surg/Tele RN, you will be responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The role requires medication administration using bedside scanning.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and document using Cerner EMR.
• Float between Med Surg and Tele departments as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience and 2 completed travel assignments are required.
• Recent experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
