Travel Med Surg/Tele RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Days, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend and holidays required. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the unit, with floating between Med Surg and Tele departments only.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg/Tele RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Medication administration will be performed using bedside scanning.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the Med Surg and Tele departments.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical records for documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience and 2+ completed travel assignments are required.
• Recent experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
